By virtue of funds donated worldwide, millions of underprivileged youths are provided access to tertiary education and groundbreaking research work is initiated in a diverse range of areas. The impact of philanthropy involves creating public value and helping to advance society - this is the power of fundraising.
Today, with government funding for universities decreasing, institutions must raise more private funds and garner more support in order to continue making a difference to the lives of students, local communities and the benefactors of cutting-edge research.
With such challenges, the need for high calibre advancement professionals has become evidently important to institutions in their advancement work. Institutions are seeking for candidates with advanced knowledge and practical experiences that will be able to contribute effectively to the institution's fundraising efforts.
