PwC Australia Graduate Stories

I get to learn new things every day, which means my job is never boring. It’s also a very hands-on role, where I get to work directly with clients, grow my skills and see the impact of what I do.

I chose Risk Assurance as I wanted a role in a company that I knew would be on top of current trends and challenges in technology and in the work they do.

In tax law, there are lots of abstract concepts and the legislation can be quite convoluted at times. This means that analytical and logical deduction is essential.

My passion lies with leadership and mentoring initiatives for young women and students from disadvantaged backgrounds; PwC has provided me with the opportunity to pursue this passion. 

I’m loving the role I currently have with PwC Ventures where I’m working in a start up environment and helping PwC expand it’s horizons to a whole new customer base.

I am employed as an Assurance Associate completing external Audits. My role is to work with clients to ensure there are no material misstatements in their financial statements.

As a multi-disciplinary service provider, at PwC I have had the opportunity to work with people from a range of different backgrounds.

In Risk Consulting, we do a variety of work. I predominantly use data analytics to inform investigations, identify anomalies and facilitate program management.

Lawyers need to have good attention to detail and a strong technical understanding of the areas of law in which they practice. 

Despite my background being in engineering, I chose to go into consulting because I wanted a role that really gave me the opportunity to interact with and learn from others.

We get to learn about new clients, understand how different sectors operate and what people in different organisations do.

My paralegal experience along with the practical competitions I participated in at university confirmed law was for me.
