I have personally done a great deal of work with the First Nations Engagement Team to help shine a light on the importance of First Nations engagement, Indigenous employment, and Indigenous procurement. This is a huge passion of mine, and although technically falls outside of my job description, the company has allowed me to lean into this and integrate it into my day-to-day.

There is a large focus on ESG and sustainability at the company. They do volunteering programs, run charity events for donations. There is also a major focus on renewables, environmental recovery/protection on our builds.

Stockland has a number of initiatives. I usually get to hear about them from other team members in sustainability and development. However, being in technology, I have not had much experience working on such projects. However, I have been in a number of volunteer programs hosted by Stockland which include ABCN mentoring (First Nations Goals, First Nations Aspirations, Goals, Aspirations, Interview2Impress) and HOPE's Kitchen.

We offer opportunities for staff to do volunteer work. I joined the ABCN Mentor program which helped to equip students with the practical skills needed to engage in employment options beyond school
